Hyundai Motor Group announced the development of a new type of charge stations for 800 volts electric vehicles, which will allow you to replenish the battery power supply in 5 minutes by 100 km.
By the end of the year, the South Korean automaker plans to install 20 super-fast E-PIT stations with six places for connecting each. The company claims that each installation will allow the owners of electric vehicles to charge 80% of the battery in just 18 minutes, and for the replenishment of energy per 100 km, it will be enough and five minutes.
To unlock the installation, you will need to pre-pay electricity through a special application.
E-PIT will be compatible with all the new models of Hyundai and Kia electric vehicles. The first 20 stations will be installed in South Korea, the manufacturer has not yet reported on the placement in other countries.
